Day 2 : Tashkent (B,L,D) Tashkent, the largest city in Central Asia, was once a major caravan stop along the ancient Silk Road. Our journey begins at the renowned Chorsu Bazaar, a bustling market filled with a vibrant array of spices, fresh produce, and traditional handicrafts. We will then ride the Tashkent Metro, where each station designed by Uzbek architects and artists is a unique work of art showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage. For lunch, we’ll enjoy Uzbekistan’s national dish, Plov, while learning about its preparation and soaking in the lively atmosphere. Afterward, we’ll take a leisurely walk past the Navoi Theater en route to the historic Amir Timur Square, where the intersection of modern Tashkent and its profound cultural legacy come vividly to life. Day 3 : Tashkent ,Uzbekistan - Khujand, Tajikistan (4 hrs) (B,L,D) Early in the morning, we will cross the border into Tajikistan (100 km ~2 hours). After clearing customs and passport control, we will continue to Khujand (70 km ~1.5 hours), one of Central Asia’s oldest cities on the Great Silk Road, linking Samarkand and the Fergana Valley. In Khujand, we will visit the Timur-Malik Fortress, the Madrasah of Shaikh Muslihiddin, and the vibrant Payshanba Bazaar, the largest in Tajikistan. Afterward, we will check in to the hotel and rest. Day 4 : Khujand - Istaravshan - Dushanbe (5-6 hrs) (B,L,D) After breakfast, we will drive to Dushanbe via Istaravshan. Today, Istaravshan is well known in Tajikistan for its blacksmiths, who hand-craft knives of particularly high quality. We will visit the blacksmiths’ workshops near the entrance to the market. Mug Tepa situated in Ura-Tube is one of the ancient settlements in Tajikistan. We will continue to drive to Dushanbe. Day 5 : Dushanbe - Iskandarkul lake - Gazza (8.5hrs) (B,L,D) After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking drive to Iskandarkul Lake, often called "Alexander the Great's Lake." This stunning alpine lake is nestled high in the Fann Mountains, offering spectacular natural beauty. We will spend time enjoying the serene surroundings. Day 6 : Gazza - Voru village (30min) - Panjakent (3-4hrs) (B,L,D) This morning, immerse yourself in authentic Tajik village life with a walking tour of Voru Village. Day 7 : Panjakent - Seven Lakes – Samankand, Uzbekistan (2.5hrs) (B,L,D) Today, we embark on an excursion to The Seven Lakes of Haftkul, a series of stunning turquoise lakes nestled in the Fann Mountains. Enjoy the picturesque scenery and tranquility of this natural wonder. After the tour, we will cross the border into Uzbekistan. Day 8 : Samarkand (B,L,D) Samarkand, a UNESCO World Heritage site, was once a prosperous city on the ancient Silk Road. After breakfast, we will begin our day with a visit to Registan Square, surrounded by stunning madrassas and mosques, Samarkand’s most iconic landmark. Next, we will explore the Gur-Emir Mausoleum, the resting place of Timur, a central figure in the city's history. After lunch, we will head to Shah-i-Zinda, one of Samarkand's most magnificent sites. Day 9 : Samarkand – Bukhara (2hrs) (B,L,D) We will take a train to Bukhara. En route, we'll make a special stop at the renowned Gijduvan Ceramics School. Here, we will witness master artisans at work, learning about the intricate techniques of Central Asian pottery. Upon arrival in Bukhara, we will visit the Po-i-Kalyan complex- the highlight of the city that includes the Kalon Mosque and Minaret, and the Mir-i-Arab Madrassah. Stay: Bukhara |

Day 10 : Bukhara (B,L,D) After breakfast, immerse in history at the Ark of Bukhara. Being the oldest structure in the city, this is a massive fortress built in the 5th century AD. Then we will visit Bolo Hauz Mosque also known as the “40-Pillar Mosque” named for its 20 wooden pillars that elegantly reflect in the pond at the base of the building. Then visit the mysterious Chor Minor, unique with four towers. After lunch, the afternoon is free for you to relax. Day 11 : Bukhara, Uzbekistan - Mary Merv, Turkmenistan (6.5hrs) (B,L,D) Departing early in the morning, we will head to the Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan border. After crossing, we will drive to Merv, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for an excursion that includes visits to the Ancient City of Merv, the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, the Keshk Fortresses, and other historical landmarks. Known as the “Pearl of the Seljuk Empire,” Merv flourished in the 11th–12th centuries as a major center of international trade and craftsmanship along the Silk Road. Stay: Merv |

Day 12 : Merv - Ashgabat (5-6hrs) (B,L,D) After breakfast, we will depart for Ashgabat, the capital city of Turkmenistan, which translates from Persian as 'the City of Love’ also Known as 'the Strangest City on the Planet'. Ashgabat is famed for its dazzling white marble architecture. We will explore some of its iconic landmarks, including Independence Park, Neutrality Arch, Ferris Wheel and Earthquake Memorial. Day 13 : Ashgabat - Darvaza (4-5 hrs) (B,L,D) We will embark on a 4x4 journey heading north towards the central Karakum Desert to visit the Darvaza Gas Crater, famously known as the 'Door to Hell'. On the way, if it is THUR, SAT or SUN we will visit Tolkuchka bazaar (28 km from the city), a very famous Sunday market where people come from all corners of Turkmenistan for trade. Tolkuchka was the old name of the bazaar meaning “Push-Market”, because it used to get over-crowded on weekends. After that, we will make a short stop at the Bokurdak desert village to see the lifestyle of local semi-nomadic families. Arriving at Darvaza, we will have dinner and then explore the burning gas crater. Day 14: Darvaza - Ashgabat ✈ Turkmenbashi (Flight: 1hr) (B,L,D) Enjoy breakfast at the yurt camp and take some final morning photos of the Darvaza Gas Crater. Drive back to Ashgabat. Day 15: Turkmenbashi - Yangikala Canyon - Nebitdag (Balkanabat) (6 hrs) (B,L,D) Today's highlight is an excursion to the spectacular Yangikala Canyon, often called the "Grand Canyon of Central Asia." Marvel at the vibrant colors and unique geological formations, especially stunning during sunrise or sunset. Spend time exploring this natural wonder. Day 16: Nebitdag (Balkanabat) - Nokhur - Ashgabat (6 hrs) (B,L,D) After breakfast, we drive towards the picturesque Nokhur Village, nestled in the mountains. This isolated village is known for its unique culture, traditional homes, and a distinct way of life that has been preserved for centuries. - Participants should be relatively fit and may not be suitable for those with limited physical capabilities.
- Day 13-night stay in yurt camp, multi sharing. Shared toilet and no shower facilities。
- This is not a trip for whiners, fusspots, and other similarly assorted types.
- It is advised to engage some exercises at least few months before the tour. Such as running, cardio exercise, easy hiking during weekend would be beneficial.
- Due to its remoteness, limited infrastructure. Some places lack modern toilets, and may have to answer nature’s call in the wild.
- Crossing 3 countries leaves many uncertainties, although every effort will be made to stick to the given itinerary, ground conditions may change and cause some disruption, including weather, road conditions or other reasons. Tour itinerary may be subjected to change in response to various uncertainties, tour members should be prepared to accept changes and be understanding.
- Cigarette and e-cigarette are prohibited in Turkmenistan. Therefore, please make sure not to carry cigarettes when entering Turkmenistan
- According to local laws in Turkmenistan, smoking in public places is prohibited, and this ban also extends to the use of electronic cigarettes. If caught by police, tourists may be required to pay a fine. However, the regulations are not overly stringent. Tourists are generally allowed to bring 2-3 packs of cigarettes into the country. Regarding e-cigarettes, if discovered during customs checks, they may be confiscated.

第十三天:阿什哈巴德 - Darvaza地狱之门 (四-五小时)(早,午,晚) 我们将乘坐4x4朝北往Karakum沙漠中部,前往参观Darvaza天然气火坑,也是大家口中的著名“地狱之门” 。途中,如果是星期四、六或日,我们将前往距离市区28公里的Tolkuchka集市,一个著名的周日集市,各地的小贩从土库曼的四面八方汇聚于此。Tolkuchka 集市的也被称为“推挤市场”,因为周末时这里往往人山人海,热闹非凡。之后,我们将在Bokurdak沙漠村庄短暂停留, 借着了解当地半游牧人家的生活。 抵达Darvaza,享用晚餐然后前往探访燃烧的天然气火坑。这个火坑形成于1970年代,因苏联的一次天然气钻探事故而产生,自此火焰一直燃烧,同时科学家也发现一些奇特的生物在这片恶劣的环境中得以生存。 住宿:Darvaza地狱之门 |
